The World Festival of Creativity in Schools
Finals at  ARISTON Theatre
Sanremo, Italy,  2 – 6  May 2007
 

Object: International Festival of Dance for Schools – Sixth year

 
Dear Sir/Madam,

Enclosed please find conditions of entry of the “International Festival of Dance for Schools” now in its sixth year, list of events and the poster of  GEF 2007 to be printed and put up on your showcase.

The dead-line for registration is 28th of February 2007.

Schools short-listed for the competition finals will perform on stage at Ariston Theatre.

 
All the schools participating in the competition finals will be able to take part, free of charge in a workshop under the supervision of maestro Joseph Albano director and choreografer of “Albano Ballet, Hartford USA”. The workshop coordinators will be maestro Marcello Algeri and Sabrina Rinaldi principal dancers of the "Ariston Proballet" (Sanremo) and “Connecticut Ballet” (USA ).

Some students participating in “International Festival of Dance for schools” has been admitted to the Dance Company “Ariston Proballet”.


“QUALITY AWARD”

The chairperson of the panel, Maestro Marcello Algeri, will be offering the winning schools in the A-B and C sections, as  “QUALITY AWARD” the following:

    * Direct access to the semifinals
    * Free registration

If they wish participate in the “sezione coreografica” (choreographic section) of the Fifth “PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE DANZA GIOVANI – CITTÀ DI SANREMO” (International Dance Prize for Young People), of which he is the artistic director.  This event will take place on the stage of “Teatro Ariston di Sanremo”  on 30th June and 1st July, 2007.

On 1st July at 9 p.m. the GRAN GALA will take place with performances by the winning schools, award giving and guests.  Travel and accommodation expenses will be the responsibility of participants, based on the official prices made available to participants.

 
What is GEF?

GEF, The World Festival of Creativity in Schools, is a festival for students, aged 7 – 18 years,  and their teachers, where they can compete with other students from the whole world participating in competitions such as exhibitions and performances of the Arts included in its programme.

A very important and unique international event of Creativity in Schools.

 
EVENTS 2007

The events are divided in following arguments:

·        PERFORMING ARTS

    * EDUCATION AND TRAINING
    * SOLIDARITY AND SOCIAL AWARENESS
    * EDUCATION AND SPORTS
    * SPECIAL PRIZES
    * EXHIBITION AREA

During the finals stages we also organize meetings, seminars, workshops both national and international.

 
Last years finals were under the patronage of  “Comune di Sanremo” and supported by European Parliament, by the most important Ministers and also by UNESCO,  UNICEF and ILO ( against child labour).

 
For the finals, GEF 2006, the participants were 3.000  with 7000 hotel nights and over 17,000 visitors and audiences visited the exhibition areas and the performances by schools from 40 Italian provinces and 24 schools from other Countries.

Katia Ricciarelli was the patroness also for GEF 2006. Among our guests: Amedeo Minghi, Liliana De Curtis (daughter of Totò), Daniele Piombi.

The increase of participants has been 75% during the last three years.

 Last year not only the most important newspapers but also televisions as RAI 1, RAI 2, RAI Educational, Canal 5,  Italia 1, La 7, Primocanale, Telecupole and radios like RTL, Radio 1 have  given information about GEF.

           
For the first time ever a school after winning “Schools Festival of Music” in GEF has also participated in “Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo”.  It was a school from Scampia  Napoli.

Tudi tukaj velja isti protokol - če se komu zdi, naj pošlje kak mail, se mao pozanima,...    Tale zadeva mi nekoliko bolj diši na klasični balet in teater, lahko pa se seveda tudi motim.

Hehe!


Tud jz pojma nimam, kaj je ta šola. Ravno zato bi blo fino, da se nekdo mal pozanima - meni zmanjkuje časa za take zadeve.
